Iain Austin – Managing Director

Iain founded the company in 1995 to provide production services to London and the south east. During this time he has gained considerable experience of the corporate and live events market, which has led to a significant growth in the business.

Having worked in entertainment lighting for 15 years, he has a broad knowledge of the industry and prides himself on securing long standing, working relationships with many of our clients.

Luke Rylah – Audio Production Engineer

A knowledgeable audio engineer with over 10 years of experience in the industry, Luke regularly works for us on a freelance basis, running all sound aspects of our projects.

With a City and Guilds in electronics, Luke is also an integral member of our team when it comes to the maintenance and repair of our equipment.

Stuart Campbell – Technician

Having worked as both a sound and lighting technician for 15 years, Stuart is one of our regular freelance technicians who can also take on the responsibility of running the production on shows.

Stuart’s experience, along with his good manner and people skills makes him popular with our crews and our clients.

James Wallace – Technician

James has recently started to get involved with various STL projects having previously worked on many of his own Theatre productions.

With a passion for the arts and a good eye for lighting design, James is able to provide knowledge and experience for some of STL’s more specialised theatre projects.

Ben Hoadley – Logistics

Ben is very much a weekend warrior as he still works full time for his own very successful family business. However having helped out on his first gig four years ago, he immediately caught the bug for the industry and has since gained a good practical knowledge of lighting equipment.

Due to the nature of Bens own business, he often gets involved in planning and implementing of logistics for many of our larger shows.

Phil Parsons – Technical Manager

Phil joined STL 4 years ago having previously gained experience working full time within two established lighting companies. During this time he increased his experience working within various areas of the industry including rigging and power distribution.

Phil now project manages many of our events in addition to assisting with the day to day running of the business.

Keith Burden – AV Technician

Keith is often seen on many of our events because of his ability to turn his hand to anything.

As an experienced AV technician working as a freelancer for over 15 years, Keith is key to the specification and installation of all our AV projects.

Simon Vining – Lighting Technician

Simon is one of our most experienced freelance technicians, having worked extensively in the industry for over 10 years. Although his first love is lighting design, he also has a large amount of understanding concerning power distribution and rigging.

Simon is currently working on his own projects but can still be found on many of our larger shows, as the lure of the industry often overwhelms him.

Dave Clarke – Technician

Dave is the most recent member of the STL work force and is proving himself to be invaluable. Bought in to run the warehouse and manage the growing demand for dry hire projects, Dave has taken the bull by the horns and embraced an unfamiliar industry, increasing productivity and new business prospects.

David Biggs – I.T

Dave has a massive knowledge of all things Microsoft and isn’t half bad with Macs either! The ever growing use of I.T in our industry, has left STL finding the need to work with people able to provide the technical know-how and support that is inevitably required. Having worked in the events industry with companies such as Aztec, Dave is able to combine his computer knowledge with all aspects of production making him a great all round technician.
